POV of Breaking the Rules....
As an artist, it is important to break the assumptions about what is supposed to be or how it supposed to be used. For example, there are different ways on how to hold pencils, some people hold it like this, and others are like that. Through this example it is obvious that there is different ways and opinions from different people. By breaking the rules, we learn to be more creative and learn how to THINK OUT OF THE BOX.
Even though it is difficult for some people to think creatively, but it is something that we can learn. Breaking the rules is one of the most important basic which make people become a successful designer or artist. We need to start asking questions about what we are looking at, such as, "why it must be like this?" or "how it can be like this?". By asking these questions, we indirectly try to observe what we are looking and think about it.
Knowing what is the main point of our design, and think in a different way is what breaking the rules means.
Project Dreamcatchers 2015 at Singapore Art Museum (SAM)...
In my opinion, this project was really inspiring especially for young children. They can learn how to express themselves when they are down, and they also know what arts actually is. By looking at their works,we know exactly how they feel and what exactly they are going to say.
