Analogical Thinking (Week 8)

Well, during our lesson today, our lecturer told us to open this website and I was so startled when I read the article. I don't know how can a designer made such kind of design and bravely spread it into the net. In my point of view, this is only base on what he/she think. He/she only describe it base on the differences between the worst things in China and the best things in Hong Kong. Even though some pictures that the designer made was true. I've ever gone to both China and Hong Kong. Even though I'm not really remember how was it, but I really remember that when I went to Hong Kong it was really clean and hot while China was not as clean as Hong Kong because China is more crowded than Hong Kong. But I quite agree with the picture about the toilet.

In my point of view, I heard a lot from my mother and grandmother about taboo things for Chinese because I’m also Chinese, Indonesian Chinese. They said things like don’t ever shake/swing your legs while you’re eating (I don’t even know why), don’t take a picture with only 3 people because the person who stand in the middle will die or get bad luck (I ever tried this before, not only once but more, but nothing happen to me and I’m still here doing my homework and eat delicious food HAHA), and for Chinese number 4, 6, and 13 means bad luck.
For the love character between China and Hong Kong. I don’t bother with it because the problem just about the differences on how they write the character of love. They made it easier in China and still followed the traditional system in Hong Kong. It happens the same in English too, between American English and British English, for instance, ‘colour’ with ‘color’, ‘favourite’ with ‘favorite’, and ‘cab’ with ‘taxi’.
In a nut shell, I put myself in the middle, 50% agree and 50% disagree. In my point of view, this design was based on designer opinion and without any research.
