Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival
Last Sunday, me and my friends went to Chinatown to look at the mid-autumn festival. This is my second times I went to a festival without my parents and only with my friends. I just felt something different if I went with my family rather than with friends. Usually, when I went with my family I just felt comfortable and I chit-chat a lot with my brother. It can be said that I spent lots of my time chit-chatting with my brother instead of with my parents. Haha. But, compared hang out with friends, sometimes I don't know why but I felt insecure especially when we came back almost at 11pm. Personally, I never hung out till that late, usually I already at home before 6pm. So, I guess I need to adapt with my new life now. Hahaha.
Well, after we arrived in Chinatown, the first thing that we did was ate our dinner. I didn't take picture because this is not the food blog, so I just enjoyed my dinner. When I finished my food, suddenly there were 2 people sat in front of us and asked something to my friend. I didn't hear what she said, because my friend couldn't understand Chinese, so she answered "English please?" and unfortunately those 2 people also couldn't speak English. Then, when I looked at them, the other person which was a boy, asked me again in Chinese, I didn't know what exactly he meant, but I just guess because from those long sentence I only understand the word "this food" and "behind". With the addition of his gesture, I guessed he asked "are you buy these food from behind this installation?" and I said Yes, then he nodded and left. Through this, I now understand how important body language is when you communicate with foreigners.
After we finished, we wandered around and stopped at like a tattoo shop(?), like the one those Indians draw on their hands. It costed 5 dollars and lasted for 2 weeks. Then, my friend who is Chinese wanted to try. I took a picture during the tattoo making.

It really looks so pretty.
I didn't really enjoy the festival, you know why? Because of this!

Short People Problems~~
Truthfully, I couldn't see anything that time, I just took this picture while straighten my hands. =="
There were a rap performance, I didn't know who was that but my friend said he was the most famous rapper in Singapore and I already forgot his name. Ok, we tried to stand as close as possible to the stage and there was a big space in front of the big speakers and my friend stood in there. I just felt they were so stupid, after around 3 seconds they came back and said that they understood why there was a big space there! HAHA!
There was a performance which they played instruments with their hand. I wondered if they didn't hurt themselves, but they really enjoyed their performance.
I found something unique, there were a group of people taking photos, but the one who held the phone was a little boy kid. He even managed those people where should they stand and what should they pose. It was so funny and amazing!

He even knew how to set the phone ! Wow~

This was one of those unique costumes
Lastly, there were fireworks as the ending of the festival.
Well, I enjoyed the festival but it was not like what I expected. I'm type of person who doesn't like crowded places.Overall, the festival was nice and I could make this as my new experience. Unfortunately, all of them spoke Chinese, so I didn't understand what they were talking about and laughed when others were laughing. Hahaha.
